The Schedule, from Thurs-Sun

The main event begins on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 pm EST. And we hope to go late … and then have the after-party from then.

Yet, in the days preceding and after we have plenty of more ideas. There will be food, walks, campfires, yoga and more delicious, homemade food. We’ve got plans to get to the Durham Bulls
(minor league baseball) on Sunday night and needs to visit the ice cream stalls at nearby dairy farms as well as pick the salad greens and flowers straight outta the ground. (I’d love to see a movie for $3 at the small town movie theater in Graham … but it depends on what’s playing.)

[Of course, this itinerary is subject to change. We also welcome more ideas, contributions ... so put them forth!]

Thursday, May 29th
daytime: Cooking … black beans. white rice.
Baking … mixed berry pies, chocolate pudding pies.

Friday, May 30th
daytime: Flower picking, picking salad greens and vegetables at the local farms (we’d love your help and some extra bodies in order to share in the fun and work).

4:00 pm Setting up the tables and chairs, after they are dropped off by

evening: The non-Rehearsal Dinner with our vast family networks.

late night: Campfires, star-gazing, and marshmellows and s’mores on the open fire after the smaller gathering. Hot cocoa, hot tea, root beer or beer should be available, too.

Saturday, May 31st
9:00am Morning Meditation

10 – 1pm Fun and Games. Kickball, football

4:00 pm The Commitment Ceremony begins
ceremony followed by dinner and dancing

At midnight begins the after party for the late night revelers and this party is BYOB of any kind any sort. We will be eating left over pork and hopefully greeting the chickens and roosters as the sun comes up!

Sunday, June 1st

And for those who don’t have to leave right away… we will be having brunch at the stone house a do-it-yourself/some food will be already made event at about 11:30 AM, there will be mimosas for those who need a little hair of the dog…

In the late afternoon at about 5:00 we will be heading off to Raleigh for the Durham Bulls game!!!!

  1. Mariana & Chad,
All the suggestions sound great, and yet, while the Durham Bulls and a movie may be fun I think it too will be great to just hang out, play and meet other fun peeps that will be joining you all for this momentous occassion. Also, be sure to let us know what things we can do to help out, etc.
    Looking forward to it!!

  2. Farmer,
