a quick QandA…
![]()
Q: Why a commitment ceremony?
A: That ‘institution’ called marriage is broken in this day, age, society and culture.
A2: We don’t need no church, nor state involved in our relationship.
Q: Do either of you have family in North Carolina?
A: Not legal family. But Jesse Vega-Frey and the whole Stone Circles/Stone House family — from Jesse to the chicks in the coop. Not to mention that we are both developing fast crushes on the entire state of NC!
We’ve both got a lot of family in metro Denver, as well as each having a sibling in New York City. The rest is spread all over the country.
Q: What is the Stone House?
A: The beautiful, awe-inducing Stone House is a fabulous 70-some acres of land. The space is a gathering space, retreat venue, conference center largely for social justice organizations, networks and beautiful people who believe in struggle. And, incorporating more spirituality — mindfulness, rest, etc — into that sense of struggle and justice.
The Stone House is located at 6602 Nicks Road, 27302.
Q: Where can our wonderful guests stay?
A: We’re inviting folks to camp on the expansive lands of the Stone House (just bring your own, tent, sleeping bag(s), and other outdoor gear). For the less-outdoorsy, there are three local hotels that we recommend:
